i have been working at a supermarket for the last 5 yaers as a checkout operator and frozen sales assisant.
i have here an aplication form for a stationery company.

they like to know about my skills, knowledge and experience? what shall i write?????

what is the most important thing about retail?????

why would i like to join the this company?????

what would i be able to offer in return?????

Your skills, knowledge and experience -
write about what your job role entitles now, what you do on a daily basis. basically your describing your current role & any previous experience. keep it to short sentences though
i.e - My current role is strongly emphasised on customer service, I help customers find the correct product, scan items through the till and handle cash on a daily basis.

the most important thing about retail is excellent customer service

why would you like to join the company -
because you feel its the right time for a career change and feel you have the relevant knowledge & experience for the job

what you would be able to offer in return?
A happy and upbeat working environment and provide the company with excellent customer service skills.

Keep it straight to the point and simple, the questions are pretty straight forward!!!!

In this age of digital printing, is it UNWISE to put up a retail store of fancy, high-end stickers?

I plan to put it up in malls where rentals are almost prohibitive. I also plan to include other stationery products like pens, erasers, notepads, bookmarks, greeting and gift cards. I am a little apprehensive because some say that the stationery business is a "dying" industry.

I wouldn't get a whole store for it... see if the mall will let you have a little kiosk in the middle. The rent will probably be lower, but traffic will be higher with people walking by seeing all your products. If all you have is small things like that, you probably won't need the space of an entire store anyway.
