Save the Packaging--You Will Need It...
It looks like I am going to have to return this one too...making it the third time in about 6 or 8 months. The problem happened all three times on reloading. I have no idea what happened or why, I've reloaded successfully several times, but with each stapler, this little black metal piece attached to the spring gets freed---it is apparently not fixable. While I too love them, here we go again...it's getting old now. I'm not sure if they are made to be disposable, but it certainly is not priced as a disposable. I hope they redesign it into something more durable as that's about the only way I would try again. Find something more durable...odds are you will be returning this if you buy it.

Great when it works, but doesn't last long
I have had four PaperPro staplers (three different models). These are wonderful when they work. But all of them have lasted only a few months of very light usage. I thought the first one was a lemon and bought another because it was such a great stapler when it did work. But the others haven't lasted long either. I went and bought their staples, thinking it may be a staple problem, but that didn't work either.
Its frustrating because I REALLY love the stapler when it works. But after paying a lot of money for three different models only to have all of them die quickly, I'm done with Paper Pro staplers. Theyy're a heartbreak waiting to happen.

Best stapler I've ever, ever used
I don't know why, but staplers don't last long in my office. It's not like I even use them that often, but every stapler I've bought lasts about a year or so during which time I use it maybe a few dozen times, and then it starts jamming and eventually ends up in the trash, at which point I start the cycle over.
Until this one. This stapler doesn't wow me with its construction quality. It doesn't feel very sturdy. But it never jams, it always handles whatever I throw at it, and I've stopped replacing staplers. It doesn't get daily use, so I can't speak to how well it holds up in that environment, but it's definitely the most reliable and powerful stapler I've ever had.

If you've ever suffered with a crappy stapler, your pain is over
I asked our office manager to find the perfect stapler for me after years of frustration. She did. This is it. It's so easy and seamless you think it's broken, until you see 10 or 20 or more sheets perfectly stapled. Not to be a fetishist or anything, but this little object has brought me great happiness.

The best
I just used this stapler to staple 27 sheets of 22lb paper. No problem. In six months of ownership, this stapler has never jammed or failed. It always works. It's a bit noisy, but I guess that's a side effect of the spring mechanism.

Best Stapler
This is by far the best, easiest stapler that I have used. I bought one for work, and after my co-workers tried it, each has bought his/her own.

Fantastic Stapler
This is one of the best staplers I've ownedPaperPro Prodigy Stapler, Blue Metallic (1118). You can truly staple 25 sheets together with one finger. This stapler is great for anyone who has arthritis in their hands since you don't have to use much pressure. It is also attractive.

Liked it so much, bought a second one
I finally gave up my heavy, trusty old Swingline. That Swingline worked for over 15 years, but it really didn't work well the last ten or so.
This stapler is high-tech. It's lightweight and does the job better than any stapler I'd ever used. I can't believe what I've been missing. The staples go just perfectly each time. This took really does staple up to 25 pages without missing, without a problem. The number of pages it can staple is limited by the staple - standard staples can only handle about 25 pages due to their size.
I got so enthusiastic about this PaperPro Prodigy Stapler that I bought a second one. Now I have one for the office and one for the house.
It's difficult to imagine anybody being unhappy with the performance of this stapler.

The best
I have to staple a lot of thick papers in my job, and this is a marvelous product. I love it's weight, ease of use, and great result each time. I would not recommend it for 2 or 3 pieces of paper, but when you have around 20 there is nothing like it.

the most expensive stapler i ever bought
we school 4 boys at home and were in need of a stapler for all our projects. we seem to blow through staplers since they are so darn interesting-especially when you ahem take the apart. this new, fancy stapler is on the top shelf and requires a "pass" before this headmistress lets any ole monkey use it. it is quite nice, but for the price, i'll be holding it close.

Survives daily use by 20+ 9-year-olds for over four years.
This is the stapler that every teacher should own. Period. Never jams, easily punches into bulletin boards and punchable walls, and uses plain ol' staples - needs nothing fancy. Sometimes it doesn't work especially well with just two pieces of looseleaf notebook paper, but that's such a minor complaint for me, and it rarely happens.

Simply put. A great stapler.
After having been through several "traditional" staplers I gave this one a shot. I had to overcome my cheap gene to pay this much for a stapler but it has been worth every penny. I've had it for a while now and, for the umpteenth time, I just eased through stapling a thick document. This time I decided to give this stapler some props. I would venture to say that it makes stapling fun.

Best stapler I've ever owned
If you're like me, you get frustrated every time a stapler jams or fails to punch a staple completely through the stack of papers you're trying to secure. Sure, you could get one of those giant industrial staplers that can attach a phone book to a cinder block, but they look ridiculous, and they're expensive. This little stapler is sits nicely between "effective, but over-priced" and "cheap, but non-functional." Unlike a few of the other reviewers, I have had no problem when stapling small numbers of sheets together; this thing works as well for two sheets of paper as it does for 15, and it requires the exact same amount of effort for both: very little. So go buy it already and stop wasting time with your junky old-school stapler.
