Electric stapler
Works well, but is loud. At first my staff was leary of due to the high noise when it staples. It is large in comparison to a similar model. It would not fit well on a desk.

great product
I am very happy with this product. For years, I have used an earlier version of this stapler at work and it has been great.

good stapler, but...
This stapler does the job, but it does not allow you to adjust where the staple staples. I wish I had known that or thought of checking before I bought it as I would have purchased a different one. Otherwise it works okay for jobs where it doesn't matter where you staple.

Quit after a month!
It worked fine for a few weeks except if to few or to many pages were involved. Two or three sheets sometimes would not trip the switch without holding both sides of the papers. twenty sheets sometimes would stick in the machine after it stapled. It died after four weeks.

Well made electric stapler
My wife has been using this stapler at her office for quire a while and liked it so much that she wanted one for home. Her last electric stapler in her home office did not last even a year. She has been using her new one for a while and she says that she likes it as much as the one at her office. For her, an electric stapler is important, so I am happy she is happy.

Electric Stapler
The product is what I had expected and so far it works well. I was hoping that it would be smaller in size, but I am still satisfied.

Frustrating Stapler
I purchased this stapler because I had used one (same model), for about three years, that worked great. However, this new one is horrible. It jams constantly, blank staples 15/20 times and when you get down to about the last 20 staples it won't staple at all anymore--it makes the stapling motion/sound, but no staple actually comes out. I did find that if I use Swingline brand staples that it doesn't jam and blank staple nearly as often, but the one I had before which was the exact same model worked fine with any kind of staple. Overall I've not been nearly as happy with the new Swingline Electric Staples as I was with the old one.

Great Product
I 'inherited' this stapler from the previous office manager so I'm not sure how old it is. I've been using it for over 3 1/2 years and I'm so glad to have it. If it's ever given me problems, they've been so few and far between that I don't remember. Loading staples couldn't be easier. It gets a pretty good workout five days a week! I highly recommend this product.

Not perfect for everything, but perfect for mass-stapling.
This stapler has no doubt saved me from a bad case of carpal tunnel.
I staple well over 100 pieces of paperwork every day, 5 days a week, every week of the year. I've used this stapler for about 8 months, and it makes me feel spoiled. It helps me get my work done in less than half of the time it used to take, it has no special staples you have to buy (unlike our other office automatic stapler) and although IT WILL JAM at least once a day, it's VERY simple to fix. I personally find it easier to fix a jam on one of these than on a manual one. I've broken and disposed of about two manuals this year, but the automatic is still going strong. I love it.
I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers have had a hard time with this model, but it's been a life-saver for me.

These are cheap garbage...avoid at all costs
I have had 3 of these break in 2 years. Don't waste your money. They are made cheaply and jam easily.

Great buy!
I love my new stapler! Works fabulous but it's too loud to use while working in the middle of the night in my home office. Even with that said, I'd buy it again. It's great!

Great stapler - Excellent price - Noisy
We bought this primarily for light but frequent stapling work in a small office. It staples great but, as one other reviewer pointed out, it's noisy. One benefit, you sure know when it's stapled the papers! It not only saves your hands and wrist when you have a lot of papers to staple, it gives them a professional look. (manual staplers curve the back of the staple and automatic staplers fold flat against the paper.) We have only been using it about a month so no feedback on longevity - no jams so far after about 700 staples.

Shortcomings of Bostitch BB Electric Stapler
We recently purchased the subject stapler for our office. I'm an accountant and during tax season we go through thousands of staples. I like the power of this unit however, it doesn't allow for the staples to be moved closer or further away from the edge. In some instances we need to place the staples further away from the edge and others close to the edge. Other staplers have this function to slide the location of the staples back and forth. Secondly, the unit is top heavy. When placing a large file into the staple area, the stapler unit will move and at times fall over because it isn't well balanced.
Overall we like it but wish it had the features of other staplers that we've used but with the power this unit has.

No Jams - Great Stapler
I purchased this stapler a couple of months ago and use it nearly every day. It's used with the 1/4" staples and they hold two to thirty plus pages. Staples well with thick bond and thin newsprint papers. I recommend this for general purpose stapling.

How do I reload my electric stapler?
Mar 08, 2009 by ~Megan~ | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I am having trouble figuring out how to load my Arrow Stapler Co. electric staple gun model ETN-50. Does anyone know how? Could you please tell me if you know??? Be as descriptive as possible please!
At the rear of the base lift up on the little ears and pull out the spring rod then slide the staples in,they straddle the metal hump in the hole, then reinsert the spring rod ,the U shaped follower straddles the hump behind the staples, push the rod in compressing the spring then re-hook the earpiece keeper.

Try looking at the back end of the stapler. You should be able to pull out the little tray that holds the staples.

Jam-proof Arrow T50BN electric stapler is jammed. It's not new so I can't return it. How do I unjam?
Apr 12, 2006 by missdixieph | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
unplugged if its a staple jammed you can see the staple between the driver and guide you can use a pair of pliers to pull it out if you cant get it that way use a screw driver and tap the driver back if this don't work you may have to take it apart

My electric stapler on my desk is randomly stapling on it's own... WHY?
Jan 25, 2007 by coconutlove | Posted in Engineering
I have an electric stapler on my desk at work. Today, it has started making a purring/growling noise, and suddenly stapling 4 or 5 times in a row. There is nothing in it triggering it! What the heck is going on? My cell phone is next to it and I know sometimes cell phones make computer screens fuzzy temporarily or speakers buzz. Does anyone know if a cell phone could make a stapler staple on its own???
Well, I would recommend you unplug the stapler until you figure out the problem, it could overheat and possibly become a fire hazard.
I really doubt your cell phone is the culprit, but try to move the phone away from it and see if it stops. If you can prove the phone is causing the problem I would get rid of the stapler (that just should NOT happen).
If this is the type of stapler you have to push a button on it to make it work, then I would again recommend you get rid of it. It would probably require taking the thing apart to fix it.
Now if it is the type that you just put paper in and it staples automaticaly, you might get lucky with a cleaning. It probably uses a sensor that detects light and knows when the light path is broken that it needs to staple. If you got some dust/dirt on the sensor then it could be thinking that there is a piece of paper in there when there really isn't. So if you wipe that down with some windex it might be allright.
But if you can't come up with an easy fix, either mine or someone else's answer, I would recommend you get rid of the thing. Keeping malfunctioning electronics around like that is just asking for trouble.
Good Luck!!

were can i buy an electric stapler in south africa i need one for my office?
Jul 18, 2006 by Charles S | Posted in Other - Electronics
Check online for office suppliers that will deliver to South Africa. If you can't find any of those, check www.amazon.com - they have dedicated sites for a number of different countries and may have one that delivers to South Africa. The U.S. site has a couple hundred electric staplers listed, so I would guess a site that serves your area might have some, as well.
