Stapler without staples?
It is more of a toy than a serious tool, but it is so cute and so fun. What it does is make a hole and fold to itself, so no staples needed. It will not take a lot of papers together, but 3 to 5 will be fine. Quality looks pretty good. It should be an exciting gift for someone who likes cute items.

Super Nifty!
It's way more cute in real life than it is in the image shown! I wish they came in a million animals in a million colors so I could have a little zoo on my bookshelf. The purple is a little darker than in the picture and it's about the size of the palm of your hand. It can "staple" about 4 to 5 papers together and it's really convenient because you never have to buy staples again. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone!

Handy Little "Stapler"
This cute little dog accomplishes its description. it cuts a tiny hole and folds the paper tabs under. although it doesnt hold as securely as an actual stapler, it is very handy for holding together 2-5 papers. I would recommend this product to anybody.

Great little staple free stapler! Don't go beyond about 4 sheets though
Great little staple free stapler. I had ordered the dog, but received the cat--which is fine because it still works the way I expected it to. The directions state that the stapler can handle up to 7 sheets of paper. I wouldn't recommend more than 4-- it gets jammed with 5 or more. A great move to keep the environment "green"!

Holds paper together
I use this "stapler" to hold a few pieces of paper together that I do not want to staple because of space or that I would easily want to take apart. Works as promised by making a little hole in the paper and then folding the paper under. Cute design - size is a little smaller than a tennis ball. If you are looking for a product that is going to hold lots of paper or securely hold your paper this is not it - get a regular stapler.

An excuse for lazy people to call themselves green.
First off, let me tell you what I hate about staplers. You have to buy staples. You have to store extra staples. You have to load staples. Staplers jam. You waste staples. You have to pull bent and ugly looking staples out of papers. You have to pry and wrench bent and jammed staples from the stapler. As a college student, I need a stapler to put those multi-page papers together, but smaller staplers get bent and torn up in my rugged backpack full of books and candy wrappers, and a small box of staples quickly becomes a backpack full of metal splinters. So there's why I was behooved to order myself a staple-free stapler. The way it works is that a cookie-cutter sort of blade within will punch a tab in the papers and a slit right next to it. So all in one pump, it punches a tab and folds the tab into the slit and fixes your pages together securely. I have yet to use this stapler in class, but on a day when people are turning in their papers, the guy with the stapler can quickly make some friends. From a green stand-point, I find it nice to not have to waste staples, which is also good economically. Also, I'm much more comfortable letting a child handle it than I would be if they had a regular stapler. All in all, though, it was my inner geek that told me I had to have this unique little gadget, and I am happy!

good idea, needs work
I love the idea of this- compact, no waste, no need to replace staples. It works by cutting a little tab out of the papers and looping the tab through a slot made by the initial cut. It's easy to use, and it comes in lots of different colors and designs.
However, it only works to attach a few pages (about 4 thick or 6 normal sheets), and the attachments it makes don't withstand much force at all. So if, like me, you put your papers through a bit of a workout (rereading, shuffling, in and out of bags), you might want to wait for the next model of this "stapler".

Pretty good, but not really practical
I bought this after seeing positive reviews and thinking, "That would be cool to have." Before I go any further, let me say that this item works. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it's not always the most practical thing to have around. I used this in high school, and usually teachers would tell me to use a regular stapler, because they trusted a normal stapler more. With just a couple papers, say 1-3, it works great. It doesn't come apart at all and the Staple Free Stapler is easy to use. Beyond that, it's not really reliable. One of the nice things about this stapler is that other people will certainly be interested in it. When I started using this product in school, everyone wanted to see it and try it out. I still use it from time to time, but like I said, it's not always practical.

Nice for stapling a few pages
The stapler works great if you do not try to staple more than the recommended 5 pages.

I Love this little thing.
I am enjoying my little staple free stapler. Follow the directions or it will break. If you only have a few sheets to put together and do not mind having a little hole in it...great. I use this on things I know that I will shread and not have to worry about removing staples or breaking my shredder. I ordered several for my friends.

Nice novelty
Although this might not be a practical replacement for an office stapler, it works fine for "stapling" a few sheets of paper. It creates a small slit and a tab, and then tucks the tab into the slit. If you don't use enough force, it will not do the job, making it something that could be an initial challenge for smaller children, or even larger ones who expect to use the same force as with a traditional stapler. Failing to push the top down all the way will not result in the tab getting tucked in, giving the impression that the papers are not secured. Getting it right makes for an impressive bind.
The effect can be considered somewhere between a paper clip and a metal staple. Papers are less likely to fall out than they might with a loose paper clip or one used for too many pages. But at the point that they might fall out, you'd be getting close to having pages ripping themselves off of metal staples. In other words, this can work fine for practical purposes. Just don't expect to be able to use it for half a dozen sheets of moderate construction paper. If your stack of paper is thick enough that you would find it awkward to fold and stuff into an envelope, you won't want to use this. But it makes an adorable gift, an environmentally friendly way to bind papers, and there is zero chance that you will run out of staples just when you need them.

Too cute not to try
The cute factor in this little gizmo was way too high for me not to give it a try. I couldn't wait for it to arrive, I didn't know what to expect when I pulled the hungry kitty away from the stack of paper. (see photos) The concept is interesting and simple. The papers are, obviously, not as sturdily stuck together as with a traditional stapler, but they seem to be stuck well enough. I find that anything more than about 5 sheets tends to stick a little, and when I tried to staple 10, I didn't think I'd be able to get the paper out. Once I was able to get the top to pop back up, the staple looked fine. For anything over 5 or 6 sheets, I will likely continue to use a standard stapler, but for smaller document sets, this works like a charm. It's especially nice if you shred a lot of your paperwork once it's outlived its usefulness, because you don't really need to worry about pulling staples from your documents.

My son, who's 6 is very upset right now cause daddy accidentally popped his balloon, so he wants to staple the balloon back together. I gave up on trying to convince him that wouldn't work and finally said go ahead... Just to have him discover that the stapler is broken. lol So now he wants to duct tape the stapler so he can staple his balloon! LMAO!
Oh you people without kids, you just wait! lol
Ha ha! Now he's got it all taped up. =)
Awww...lmao! Hehe, gotta love them. No, my daughter had a GREAT day and the stuff that she was saying yesterday had us just about peeing in our pants.

Does anybody have any good, clean practical jokes for an office atmosphere?
Jun 28, 2006 by fasn8n_67 | Posted in Jokes & Riddles
We have someone who has given his notice and Friday is his last day. On Monday we put smiley stickers all over his work area, stapler, phone, keyboard, modem... Tuesday we saran wrapped everything and sent an email from his computer to a cute co-worker, and today we strung all of his paper clips together and hung items off of his desk from the ceiling tiles.
Any suggestions, besides the obvious grow up. We're just having fun and sending him off with some laughter.
LOTS AND LOTS OF SILLY STRING!!!

He walks halfway around the office to borrow my stapler. Does he like me, or is he just lonely for friendship?
Oct 19, 2007 by Miss T | Posted in Singles & Dating
I don't see cute guy, who I sat next to and flirted with, very much since I moved to the other side of the office. I know he flirts with other women, but he did come by to say hi yesterday, and today he emailed me asking who wil he borrow a stapler from now that I'm gone? Is he trying to comfort himself/me since he doesn't have his flirt buddy sitting with him, or does he like me?
About 8 of us are going to happy hour tonight, like last week, but though we talked there, he got a ride home with another friend, easily skipping out on getting a ride from me. What do I do??????
Buy him a stapler of his own, attach a note that says the following" Your cute ...why not ask me for more than just a stapler. " good luck : )

Feb 11, 2008 by Francesca | Posted in Singles & Dating
so i have this cute guy classmate. he has caught me looking at him & i have caught him looking at me for a number of times.
one time we had a paper due. it's some 6 pages & it had to be stapled. he was walking in a hurry and we passed by each other. all of a sudden, he asked me, "hey do you have a stapler?" and i said "yeah". then while i was looking for my stapler he said, "you look like someone with a stapler"
wth??? what was that all about????
LOL man that guy was dying to make conversation. Maybe in his strange awkward little way he was trying to say you where attractive , or you look like someone who comes to class prepared? You should have asked him what the hell does that mean weirdo?
