Best Photo Paper Ever!!
I love this photo paper!! I've tried many different kinds and this is by far my favorite. Unfortunately, I can't get it in any local stores anymore but when I saw that I could order it here I was so happy!

The colors may look a little more realistic on Ilford's Pearl finish photos, but there is a large loss with quality. The loss of quality is evident with my Epson hd photo printer. I was told that the photo paper that Epson makes for their printers is the best to use but I thought I would try something else. I should have stuck with the Epson paper.

Edit: It is still good photo paper, but it is not fantastic. I would normally want to use only fantastic photo paper because the ink costs $80 to replace, but I plan on using it anyway because it is not worth the charge for retuning this item.

Wonderful Paper
I used Ilford Pearl paper back in my darkroom days. They have brought the same quality to their digital print paper. I especially like this "Pearl" finish because I am not a glossy finsh person. I normally like matt as I think it is truer to the photo. This occupies a great place between the two, closer to matt, but with a little more shine to make the colors a little more vibrant. It is a very true paper though so you have to have your colors all set right because that is what will print out - no shifting here. If I could afford to print on it all the time I would. For me it is not a matter of cost per sheet is to high for what I get, it is just too high for me to afford on my budget right now.

its the best photo paper I've ever used. The closest to professional photographer's paper I've seen. The service provided by Amazon was great as well. I'm a fan.

All around the best photo paper for all your needs!!
I don't think I've ever written a review, but I just received Ilford's PREMIUM PHOTO PEARL PAPER today and printed several pictures. All I can say is wow! Normally I use Canon's Photo Paper Plus II Glossy, but I've been looking for something with less sheen....and found it with this. It's the perfect balance between matte finish and glossy. I think it creates a great picture. This is a little more than Canon's paper, but it is money well spent. You can use it for everyday use, or even framing or giving gifts. Excellent professional quality and the color is amazing. I printed the same picture on both papers and the Ilford's came out more color balanced, in my opnion. The weight of the paper is great as well. Feels very professional. I feel this is better than what you would get at the lab or ordering from Kodak or Snapfish.

The scanner on it works perfectly fine, but the paper gets pulled to one side and fails to feed through the printer. I've flicked through the paper before loading it into the printer, and I've used different kinds of paper but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Clean the feed rolls with some alcohol free cleaning agent (Simple Green works great). Make sure paper is load correctly (sounds like you have done). And the sad fact may be the printer is just worn out and needs to be replaced.

lexmark 1240 printer runs paper through but doesn't print?

My lexmark 1240 printer use to print.But now it runs the paper through like its printing, but it doesn't print. It will not do test printing. I tried all the troubleshooting steps. I have cleaned the cartridges and restarted the computer several times.

Did you try another "NEW" ink cartridge?

Are you certain that you didn't touch any part of it that you were not supposed to--such as the contact film/plate?

Try removing it from your printer settings and then re-install it.

Also, if you can't get a "new" ink well, you can use an ear cleaning stick (like a Q-tip(tm)) dip one end into isoproly alcohol and gently clean out the ink dispensing part (nozzles). If you see there's too much buildup, I've been known to use tape (like Scotch Tape) to take off the excess and then when I see the nozzles I use the alcohol.

Blank pages can usually be caused by the toner cartridge being put in wrong, (usually you'd notice that), or the drum itself is malfunctioning.
Most desktop printers have a drum/toner unit combined, so open your printer and double check that the unit is in correctly.
The only thing that presses your paper against that drum with the image on it, is the transfer roller. So check and see if that roller near the toner/drum unit is in place and looks alright.

Open the area where the paper jam occured. Remove the paper carefully. Close the cover. Or restart your printer. It depends on what printer you are using.
