Bridget's Review

The Rolodex Mesh Pencil Cup Organzer with 4 Compartments is the perfect home for my pens, pencils, markers, highlighters, paper clips and post-it notes. Everything has it's own little place which makes working a lot easier. I really like the mesh design, it looks really good on my desk.
Great little item
I now have a place to put all the odds and ends that I use every day but accumulate in my desk drawer. Well made, perfectly sized, and I particularly LOVE the litte drawer! Great item.
Not the best solution out there
This is a medium guage metal pen / pencil / desk organizer with a bin that can be removed, though it does take some fidgeting to get it out. I think the middle section of this unit could have been designed better, the bin takes up too much space and does not slide out well at all. This leaves less room for pens and pencils and the top sections are an odd size. If you need the big drawer then all is well, but I cannot think of anything but post-it notes to go in there and who needs that many?

The pen / pencil sections are too wide and too shallow so that pens and pencils just kind of flop around and this looks messy on a desk. I brought this to replace the age old mug solution and this has the same overall appearance of something put to uses other than what it was intended to do.

The separate sections of this are welded together and they are not very even joins so it rocks a bit and looks kind of sloppy up close. On the front right of the unit, there is a RoloDex logo and the one I have is very crooked. The logo is stamped into the metal screening so it cannot be fixed and it just makes the whole thing look a bit shabby. For the money I expected something a little more refined than this unit.

I love my rolodex mesh pencil cup. It looks very nice and is very functional. I highly recommend it.
Perfect size for my desk
I often have too much on my desk and this is the perfect size with the right amount of compartments for me. Its sturdy, yet lightweight without being tippy at all. I love it because now I have all the items I need on a regular basis in one area and there is no more searching in my desk drawers.

Nice, big, sturdy
This is a nice, big and sturdy pen/pencil holder. It's tall enough to scissors and a 12-inch ruler without tipping over. It looks good too!
Almost perfect!
I wanted an extra large pencil holder to hold a large variety of colored pencils, and this is just about perfect. It's height is somewhat higher than I wanted, but overall, it works great for my needs.
Perfect! Just what I needed
I been looking for a big pen holder thing that will hold all of my pens and pencils on my desk. Before I just had a small thing for pens and I couldn't put very much in it and so I had a zip-lock bag in my desk drawer with the other pens and pencils and so I decided to get this and it holds all of them, with some room to spare and it looks great!

It's built pretty good, but the price could of been a bit cheaper though.

Other than that, if you are looking for a large pen/pencil holder for your desk, this is thing is awesome! I'm glad I bought, now I have all of pens/pencils and scissors with in a arms reach.

how do you make a pencil holder?

hi. I wanna make a pencil holder, I tried making one out of mounting board, but they wont stick together, call me stupid, but i use PVA glue, I know tat hot glue is much better but i dont own any hot glue.... =(.... is there any other things or glue i can make a pencil holder?... I've read you can make 1 out of popsicle sticks, er, but, my glue really doesnt stick long... help?

buy a hot glue gun now isnt that smart

What about using a can (soup, veggie, etc.). You can cover it with decorative paper or magazine pics......the only thing you'll need to glue is the paper.

Those green foam planters make great pencil holders.

Tee-Hee. I made a really cheap one for my workplace one time out of a toilet paper cardboard tube and cut another small circle out of cardboard and taped it to the bottom. It worked really well, since I had a post to tape my homemade pencil holder to.

The easiest thing to do is use something that already is in that shape and you only need to make a slight modification, or decoration. A soup can is excellent, so is a mug, with or without handle (seen those in offices a lot). You can take a couple of cardboard tubes (wrapping paper comes in them at this time of year) and cut them to different lengths. Stick 3 or 5 of them together, decorate and make a full bottom for them. Then you have several places for different kinds of pencils, and for items of different lengths. I have several of those cardboard tubes that potato chips come in, like Pringles or other brands -- can you cut them down to a size you need, or cut them in half and you have TWO of them! Lots of ideas...

I have 3 small flower pots on my desk that i use for pens/pencils, sharpies, and scissors/jewelry making tools. I painted them, inside and out, and then sprayed them with Krylon clear coat finishing spray. I just used the plain terra cotta pots.

I would add to kc_kille's answer of using fabric. on the soup can. You can use Elmer's Glue.

Does anyone know how to make a pencil holder out of popsicle sticks?

I read that you use a veg. can and some tacky glue. For some reason the popsicle sticks wont stick to the can. Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks

Use hot glue, it sticks well to all surfaces.

Jamil always throws loose change into a pencil holder on his desk and takes it out every two weeks.?

This time it is all nickels and dimes. There are 9 times as many dimes as nickels, and the value of the dimes is $5.10 more than the value of the nickels. How many nickels and dimes does Jamil have?

Can anyone help me figure this out...even a start to an equation would help. Thank you.

9N = D
.10D = .05N + 5.10

.10(9N) = .05N + 5.10
.9N - .05N = 5.10
.85N = 5.10
N = 6
D = 54

'3rd EAR' comes in handy

A severe solution to a chronic problem. Larry Owens became an inventor because of it; the man behind one of those novelties that play-act you think, "Why didn't I about of that?"

Owens of Lincoln was construction a deck for his source about five years ago when he inexorably got fed up. Every time he put his shelter glasses on, he'd bested the pencil he had tucked behind his ear. He even sent his mom on momentous trips to pick up pencils to substitute for the ones that had become casualties of the draw up.

As a graphic artist, Owens had a resourceful mind, and it didn't take him protracted to figure out how to decipher his problem: a third ear.

"I certain it was getting numbskull (to always go tracking down pencils), I wanted a way to put pencils or instruct bits proper there on my glasses," Owens said. "It was one of those centre-of-the-night things - I figured it out, a magnet."

Thus came the first iteration of Owens's tale: 3rd EAR, a magnetic strike that affixes to your aegis glasses with a foam lowly to keep pencils, driver bits, nails, screws and other tools in grade while you work.

From that first centre-of-the-night "aha!" to the terminal product took a lot of procedure, Owens said. He went through approximately 20 prototypes, irksome out different materials and configurations before he had it unbiased like he wanted it.

It didn't take elongated before other handymen took notice.

"I was at Internal Depot shopping one morning," he said. "At the lifetime it (the 3rd EAR) was black and kind-hearted of weird-looking. I had five people a halt me and say, ‘Hey, where did you get that?'"
