Quality Product
I only purchase Papermate mechanical pencils. When I saw the Pink Ribbon mechanical pencils I had to have them. These live up to the Papermate Quality. The lead is firm but not too firm. I tend to have a heavy grip on my pencils. The lead writes smoothly. These hold up well. Good buy.

I found some in Walmart once. (This was a long time ago, so I don't know if they still have it.) It came in a pack with a bunch of other colors.

drawing pencils....?
Aug 09, 2007 by rock_climber_21 | Posted in Drawing & Illustration
I draw a LOT, and generally I use just computer paper, a #2 pencil, a mechanical pencil, and a pink pet eraser.
My art teacher has insisted that using special art paper, and differant hardnesses of pencils will make my work look better. I am fine with the way my work looks, I don't want to change it.
Should I listen to him?
Yes, you should. Different grades and textures of paper will enhance certain aspects of your work. Different grades of lead in the pencils will do so, also, by providing a variety of shading qualities and sharpness.
Also, you can look at it in a logical way by considering the fact that there wouldn't be all of these types of drawing papers and pencils if it couldn't make a difference.
The only reason you shouldn't listen to him is if you want the way your drawings appear now as your style and your only style.
I've sold a lot of art work and have taken instruction, so those are my qualifications for my answer.

had iud rempoved, period late, pink streak then nothing?
Jun 25, 2008 by 30 weeks with Ashlee | Posted in Pregnancy
had non hormonal copper paragard IUD removed june 11th has sex the night before , doctor says use condoms til period comes, but it should ahve came 5 days ago, no cramping or any other signs of it coming any time soon, usually cramp bad for a few days before and nothing yet. went pee just now and wiped and had a tiny tiny pink streak tiny as in a mechanical pencil mark 3 inches long tiny. but no cramping what the hell is going on this iud is non hormonal so it doesnt messs with anything all it did was make the inside so a baby cant implant, called doctor todya they said wait a few more days and if nothing take a test, took one today and it said neg, but still no signs of period, husband and his employees say i am already pregnant, anyone had the same iud removed and had this issue?
You should have been using condoms the week before you had your IUD removed as sperm can survive inside a woman's body during that time. Retest using your first morning urine in a few more days.

Zodiac school supplies? :)?
Jul 26, 2008 by just life | Posted in Horoscopes
Imagine that all the children are going back to school and we're all different school supplies.. what would you be and who would be your friends? Who would be your arch enemies if you had any...lol? Don't forget to mention your sign. You can think outside the box too! :) Personally, I'm Bob, the #2 mechanical pencil, so they can use me for standardized tests and their homework! Yay! Good thing I don't have to be sharpened by the sharpener... it looks scary to be sharpened! Oh look, I'm packaged with three other mechanical pencils: a pink one, a green one, and blue one! I'm the purple one by the way, and proud to be purple! LOL! :) Hmm...my eraser on top of my head smears the poor childrens' lined paper. Hopefully a person that buys me will get a pencil topper! :) Ahh! More mechanical pencils are being dumped on me...wow, everything's so dark now...yikes! to be continued...
To update you on my mechanical pencil adventures, I was recently purchased by a nice young college student. It was quite fun being packed in a suitcase and finding myself the next day in New York at Cornelly University! It seems to me that she was going through a "pink mechanical pencil phase" and since then she loaned me to a nice young college student, whom I think she likes very much, as I still am able to visit her everytime she comes around him. Interesting..I always try and make an excuse to see them together so I try and wriggle out of the young college man's hand so that in hopes if she's around she will pick up the pencil and get to talking with him! LOL! He just thinks it's his shaky hands that cause him to drop me, little does he know I have an adventurous life of my own. Currently, I'm in a bright blue pencil box as well with some colored pencils mixed in...the purple colored pencil used to like me until she realized I'm just colored purple! to be continued...
Oops, I meant Cornell University, sorry my bad, it's quite hard for mechanical pencils to type you know. Lately, I've had a big crush on the pencil box, I know, right? Well, I guess I just have lately liked the pencil box realized he keeps up protected by destructive and harmful human hands that like to break things in two, like us! It's very cozy and lots of room in here, but sometimes it gets a little noisy! Especially the pink colored pencil! What a social butterfly! But hey, the more the merrier, right? :) And as for you yellow crayon, how is life treating you now? I've never met a crayon before, hmm... are you like a colored pencil? The only school supplies I've come across are notebooks, glue sticks, and hand sanitizer, probably because they were being sold next to me at Office Depot... hmmm... :)
(giggles back) Glad to hear you help make his artwork brighter.. you must be the picture of the sun most of the time, right? Unless like you said, he's going through a "yellow color phase," so maybe he uses you for the color of the grass, and sky, and clouds, and before you know it, the whole paper radiates with your pigment lol! :) Oh, got to go, my owner has a handwritten essay to write, adios! :)
Well, I'm back, and phew, was that a lot of writing! I'm out of lead, so I feel very light headed and not as intelligent as I usually appear to my fellow school supplies! Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother? Is she o.k.? Do you still visit her? :)
Oh yes, I've seen markers too, nasty things, especially the more deceiving ones that say they're erasable but they're not. I've been told erasable colored pencils are way more reliable! Are you erasable?
Why hello Stacy, the red colored washable marker! Yes, you can call me Bobby (blushes) Well, I think you should give the colored pencils a chance. It seems like the colored pencils and markers might not ever get along... but hey, you both bring color to people's lives, right? You guys have common ground, no? Oh, what I'm saying I'm just a mechanical pencil with no enemies except those highlighters! They've been getting on my nerves lately... as you see them skidding along the pages of textbooks and what-not, they brag about it and say we are all born with smeary erasers and are better than any marker or colored pencil! The nerve! However, I do agree that white out can also be a pain! They stink a lot, at least the liquid ones do! Do they ever take a shower? And even the roll on ones take up some volume and definitely can't be trusted as they're best friends with highlighters! Hmpph! :)
Wow Stacy, you are one bold red marker! I'd be lucky if this one lip balm my owner carries around would kiss me...I don't think the chances are high of ever that happening... the lip balm wouldn't want to get my owner's lips dirty with my lead! LoL! Wow, I feel uber sleepy! Must be from that college essay I had to write out! Well sweet dreams and pleasant days to come everyone! And remember, the pencil box is your friend! :) hehe!
Hi there Bob, I'm Sunshine a yellow crayon in a box of 24....I have many brothers and sisters who are all very colorful as well. My arch enemies are markers, they think they are soooo cooool because their colors are sooooo bright and seemless, woohoo, whatever! The box my family came in beacame torn so now we live in a pencil bag, not so shabby! Much roomier and cool to meet others that I am not realated to, more to talk about! I am my owners most used color (he is in a phase...) and right now my biggest fear is being broken or all used up and thrown away......
Sun in Sagittarius ;)
giggling....I'm in a generously sized pencil bag that belongs to a sweet little boy, the other kids are always trying to steal us all away from him.....but the little girls seem to like him.....they always complement him on his beautiful artwork(pssst, I helped him) :)
Crayons are very vibrant and have a much longer shelf life then say a crappy old marker that usually dries up within a week (slur to the markers!). We can be very artistic and help develope this in the minds of children at an early age.....That's what my mom says anyway (She was an oversized crayon in a box of eight until she was retired by my owner, she is a green crayon)
I am permanent unless you get that new Mr. Clean Magic Eraser thingy.....he scares me! But if you color a picture with us and then use (everyone's favorite) Dark Knight (the black crayon) to color over the picture ( it takes a lot of pressure and elbow grease for my young owner to do this) you can make a whole new picture by scratching out shapes and designs with a popsycle stick! Pretty cool huh?! (Pssst I always encourage my owner to do this because it uses alot of Dark Knight's wax per picture, lol, and I would rather he be used up first!) ;)
Stacey, just told on me......I have been retired until a later date. Stupid old markers! They are always outdoing us.....and she's right you know, I never really have been the same since my owner sharpened me.....sniffle......maybe that's why we were retired......sniffle....?
sniffles....a wish to my owner....sniffles....
