Great value
24 basic BIC mechanical pencils. I am a 24-year old college student and these pencils are perfect for my needs. Despite the metallic name, they do not look glittery at all. I would classify them more as bold/deep colors. But the most important thing is they use #2 lead and are medium thickness: 0.7mm. I recommend them wholeheartedly, especially at this price.

A Good Deal
There's not much to say about mechanical pencils but I wanted to say that this pack is a great deal. You get 24 pencils for around $7.00 and I haven't found them cheaper anywhere else. My son goes through pencils like nothing which I don't really understand but I guess that's a child for you. Although these pencils aren't necessarily made to be refilled, they are refillable. I bought cap erasers to save the eraser on the pencil so that we can take it off and put more lead in them. They still get lost at times and old, worn pencils get thrown away but the since the pack is cheap enough, we will just buy another pack when needed. Also, the metallic color is great especially for a boy because there are no 'soft' colors in the pack.

Great value and a great item to boot!
Hi All,
Not much to be said about mechanical pencils...but this is a great 24 pack. I bought it for my son who goes through these things like water... Locally I found this pack for as high as 12.99 plus tax. Amazon has it for 8 bucks, no tax, and shipping is free....it was an easy decision.
The pencils come in many colors and are built well. The erasers are good as long as they stay on there and dont get torn off.

It is soo hard to find pencils with a 0.9 mm lead. I HATE 0.7mmm lead because it breaks a lot! These are the best mechanical pencils I have ever had. I have even shared 1/2 of my order with my granddaughter in North Carolina...she is 1q2 years-old also LOVES the lead quality for her search a word puzzles! Thank you for offering them to your customers! Marilyn from Rhode Island

Thicker leads, closer to what my kids use
I have been looking for inexpensive mechanical pens that has thicker leads primarily for use by my kids. Most mechanical pencils are 0.5mm and 0.7mm thick which are too thin, they usually poke a hole on the paper. These are closer to the wooden pencils that they usually use everyday. My kids love to open the sharpener compartment to look how much shaves they make. They throw it to the trash but they make a lot of mess. And for 24 pcs, it is a 5-star value.
They have white eraser on the opposite tip and equipped with a pocket clip. Assorted colors.

Have them everywhere.
The colors are great. Never jammed for me. The eraser can be removed to add more lead. I have a few in my school bag, some next to the computer and the rest in drawers. I don't scramble for pens anymore. These are awesome.

Alright Pencils
These pencils are alright. Sometimes they "jam" aka the lead doesnt come out. The erasers are good and write well enough. They are number 2 pencils which is nice for students taking scantron tests.

I'm not really sure what all to say about these. They are good, functional mechinical pencils. Each has a good eraser, with spare refills stored underneath. And available at a good price.

Bic Mechanical Pencil .07 mm 10 pack (MPP101-Blk)
These are good pencils, with a few refills of lead located beneath each eraser, and they are not that expensive.

Turns out the french were right; there were no nukes in Iraq. I guess the people who hated them owe them an apology.

On a "Bic" brand #2 mechanical pencil, there are several small holes within the inner layer of plastic. I was just wondering....why is this?
Where are bic color codes mechanical pencils sold?
Oct 08, 2008 by Bahamut Z | Posted in Drawing & Illustration
a teacher at my old school that retired used to sell these mechanical pencils. I was just wondering which stores they sell them in, or if it is only online
No online counterparts to physical stores show them in their inventory. They only show up on online stores.

Are BIC mechanical pencils recyclable??? (details inside)?
Mar 04, 2008 by plane crash in c | Posted in Other - Environment
(picture below)
*****I have TONS of those Bic Mechanical Pencils (all w/ the grips) of .5 and .7 which either no longer work or no longer have a decent eraser.
I want to get rid of them but since I have so many I was wondering if they are recyclable? If so they would go in PLASTIC, right? I wasn't too sure because I think the grip on them is made of RUBBER.
/ : Help appreciated!!!
the type of pencil i'm referring to: http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/92872/200.jpg
no they arent recyclable but there are two ways u could go about it:
1.) you can reuse them by finding another way of using them
2.) buy yourself a really good quality pencil that will last u for a really long time. that way u will save resources, save money in the long run, and you dont to deal with throwing away used up disposable pencils.
Heres a few brands I recommend:

http://www.amazon.com/Pentel-Sharp-Automatic-Drafting-Pencil/dp/B00006IEG0
hope this helps
