It's way easier just to tear a thousand sheets of paper..
... than it is to use this shredder. In the last hour, I have taken it apart 3 times to unclog it. I have never passed more than 3 sheets through. I am going to tear the rest of my documents by hand, and throw the shredder in the garbage along with the paper scraps.

Adequate Product for Low Security Shredding
This strip shredder is adequate as home shredder meant to discourage the casual information sniffer from stealing your information from your garbage. One problem I have had with it is that it occasionally continues to run, requiring me to switch it into reverse and back to forward to "finish off" whatever I am shredding. This seems to mainly happen when shredding a single sheet or small item.

It's in the GARBAGE
I purchased this product as a used, but "in perfect working ordr. As soon as I used it the first time, I saw that this machine could not shred toilet paper. It jamed with every attempt I tried. It was apparently not in " WORKING ORDER ". I took this machine out to the garbage within 5 days of frustration.

If I could give a negative number of stars I would
This is a piece of garbage. It jams even if you try to shred only one sheet of paper the size of a CHECK at a time!
DO NOT BUY!! you'd just be throwing your money down the tube.
It is literally faster to cut up your waste paper with a pair of scissors than to spend time trying to un-jam this piece of garbage.
PS I didn't buy this from Amazon. I have never been dissatisfied with anything I have purchased from Amazon.

Royal Paper Shredder
I was disappointed in this shredder. It jams frequently and overheats much too quickly. It won't last long I'm sure, and I certainly won't replace it with the same product.

Great shredder for the price.
Shreds a nice stack quickly - makes pretty small pieces - easy to dump 'drawer-style' shreddings bin.
Build quality a little cheesy - but that can be a plus when it comes time to move it. :)

This is my second shredder of this type..... The first worked so good I opted for another one.
17 sheets does cause the motor to strain...... 15 sheets should be listed as capacity.
Good size and fits conveniently next to a desk...... easy empty.

Jams With Few Sheets
Worst shredder I've ever used. After less than 1 month of light use -- never more than 5 or 6 sheets of paper at a time -- it jammed beyond function. Stay away.

Very satisfied!
I just bought this shredder about a week ago. It's worked like a dream so far. It's much quieter than my old shredder (which was quite old). I love the large bin and the fact that I don't have to lift off the heavy top to empty the waste. I ran it for 45 minutes straight the first night before it overheated, which is so much better than my last machine! No jamming. I only put in 8-10 sheets at a time and it did so with ease. Very satisfied!
