Not much difference. The big difference is between these and strip cut shredders; the latter are much less secure.
Just pick the shredder that cuts up the paper in as many pieces as possible. That way someone going thru your trash can't put it back together. It's also handy to have a shredder that can tackle cd's & credit cards.

If you are looking for one that is not made with plastic gears and freeze up then you will need to up your budget. With a few years of shredding then get a service.

I just bought a Champion WQ81B. It CLAIMED that it would shred 10 sheets and credit cards, but I already broke it! I really don't want to spend over $75.00 on one and I would prefer a diamond cut shredder. I get a LOT of junk mail and credit card offers and I don't want to have to open it every time, but every shredder I bought says I can and I really can't! I am so frustrated right now! Please help! Serious answers ONLY!!
I took really good care of this shredder and even used the oil sheets that you were supposed to and it still broke! I always take good care of things, that's not the problem, I just get so much junk that I can't keep up with shredding. Is there anything bigger then 10 sheets that actually works? My 10 sheet will only shred about 5.
