Nice cutter, lots of cutting options
I like most parts of this cutter. I like that it has a light. I also like the variety in cutting edges. The only problem is that it doesn't cut lines that are straight. I use it for scrapbooking and it annoys me that the lines are not straight. You also have to press hard when cutting thicker paper. Overall, it's a pretty good cutter if you don't mind that it doesn't cut very straight.
craft-lite cutter
I like it alright, but it needs to come with two straight-edge blades. It doesn't always give you the most perfectly straight cut but it's still worth it. I use mine often.
Everyone loves it
I took this to a craft market place to cut some things during my down-time while selling items. People were more interested in my lighted cutter than my items for sale. ;) It works very well. The light is great. It takes a little bit of practice to get your line exactly where you want it. I do wish that the measurements on the cutter itself were in grid form instead of ruler form. That's because I like to make sure that my cuts are on a perfect square.
I also only use the straight cutter, so I can't speak for the other blades. You will need to press hard if you have something thick to cut.

disappointed with Fiskars craft trimmer
Does not cut straight, blade was dull at start, very disappointed with this brand, not as good as the last trimmer I had which was a Cricut.
The Ultimate Trimmer!
What a great product! I have several "knife" cutting boards but this one is so much easier to use. It's accurate as can be and easy to use for professional cutting results. I notice that the cutter is making a grove in the bottom piece but it's removable so maybe my concern is premature. This is a lifesaver for any accurate cutting job you might have.
Excelent Product for the money spent
This Craft Trimmer is just what the Doctor Ordered. Its construction, fit, and mechanical percision is as good as you would see in an office grade product at a much better price point. If you need a cutter/trimmer for crafting or general use i would not hesitate to recommend this one. I use it in my small business and it performs flawlessly.
Very Handy
Have you ever bought anything from Fiskars that isn't good? This trimmer is very handy for projects that can handle full sheets of paper. I have the smaller trimmer from Fiskars, but when I needed to cut a full sheet of paper, I could not cut it vertically, as the paper did not fit into the trimmer. Now that is not a problem. Very good product from Fiskars, as always.
Fabulous Fiskars Paper Trimmer
I have seen and tried many paper cutters out there, but this one is by far the best in my opinion. It is sturdy, yet light to carry, and it has little orange rubber knobs on the corners so it doesn't move when you cut, and it won't scratch your table. The blade itself is sharp, and it cuts the paper easily and perfectly straight. It has an extendable arm at the top that lets you fit a larger sized piece of paper also. I just love this paper trimmer!

For you crafters, what is the best circle cutter for paper crafts?

I like my Coluzzle system. You can purchase other templates too...oval, square, alphabets too.

Good luck.

i personally love the cutting system from creative memories. it comes with different size circles, ovals, stars, etc and three sizes of blades. the circle cutting system has three templates- you can cut outside or inside of the template, so one circle gets you six different sizes or 18 per pack. it's the one i use. making memories makes another one that is pretty good and can be purchased at joanns or michaels if you can't find a creative memories consultant. hope this helps.

I concur with the Creatives Memories answer. They are simple to use.

Does anyone have any advice on which paper trimmer or cutter I should buy for rubber stamping projects?

My little sister is lookin' for a paper trimmer or cutter for when she does her craft projects and I am trying to find one for her as a Christmas present. I did buy her a Fiskar's Rotary Paper Trimmer but I have read a few reviews that they are hard to use. Does anyone have a trimmer that they would recommend? Thanks!

Fiskars has a paper trimmer that has grids on the base, a ruler to hold the paper in place and a small cutting blade that runs along a track. I use this all the time and am very pleased with it. It easily cuts 12x12 scrapbooking paper. I have never had a problem or been disappointed with any Fiskars product. They are very user friendly and the products are so conducive to creativity.

Does the Craft Lite Cutter work well?

I mainly want to use it for cutting and folding. Do you know if the folding part can accept paper over 20lbs?

The Craft Lite Cutter is a great tool to use for cutting straight lines and curves. I don't think the Craft Lite Cutter can accept paper over 20 lbs for folding.

How to cut a big pile of paper easily and neatly?

i need to cut a book of news paper parchment to size for a craft. I don't have access to a paper cutter but if that's the only way i would appreciate knowing where i might be able to borrow one? :D tysvm

buy one at hobby lobby their not that expensive

Guest Blog: Using the Phone to Make Genuine Connections

I’ve always considered the job postings ending with “Please do not call apropos this position” to be a prepared weeding out fact. In my opinion, the please do not call wield the sceptre is a gauge between the quick-tempered job seekers and the other, unsure job seekers.

I’ve sat many nights and originally mornings in my computer flat trying pinpoint the most desirable time to call older recruiters and beneficent resource managers. When I see a angle best suited for me, I dream of how I can get a jumpstart on the struggle. For me, the quickest reply from recruiters has been from either an anciently Monday morning phone call, or a Sunday evening vehicle message. Now, I unqualifiedly understand that human being resource representatives cannot proffer every job seeker’s give someone a tinkle message. But every determine I’ve obtained started with an prime telephone chat. I have never received full-unceasingly a once employment through a job bank or an online train Web site. Most of my video receiver experience stemmed from talking my way into the viewpoint.

Unfortunately, the days when I could pick up my apartment phone, score a meeting with a expos executive and advance out with a job is not readily occasion in 2010. In the last three weeks, a superior recruiter told me a job I applied to was canceled. And two HR recruiters said they were peradventure letting more people go or they were hiring an internal nominee when I was ready to fly to New York for a flawed interview. I am one of thousands of redundant journalists and must rely on my curriculum vitae of digging for intelligence and relating to the recruiter on the phone. I scroll through dozens of Internet pages to find leads. I about the requisites of each class, craft my cover exactly and resume, align keywords closely with the job’s slide set and apply through the house’s Web site. I irritated-reference the job subtitle with others in the specific companions through LinkedIn.
