Can I put my credit cards in my money clip?

It is a magnetic money clip which is bound in leather. I am well aware that the magnets will probably de-magnetize the credit cards but I have heard from several people that this is sometimes not the case. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on this. Thanks!

Mythbusters did a big episode on this. They used some very, very powerful magnets, and only one that no normal person could get their hands on had any impact.

There's basically zero chance of you stripping the magnet with one of those magnetic money clips.

A few years back at work, I had a customer who pulled out a metallic wallet or case. I recall that on one of the sides it had a slide button that when used, would dispense a desired card/id. I asked where she bought it and she mentioned eBay. I have looked for it but couldn't find anything alike. Any ideas?

PS. It's not a money clip!

Did people ever care to save money?

I don't understand. All you hear about on the news is about ways to say money. You hear these "genius" ways to save at the grocery store and all around. People telling you to clip coupons, and open savers cards at the grocery stores (you know those things that I thought everyone had so you get the sales) and all these people are going on and on about how great this stuff is. Shop wholesale and compare prices. Even get store brands.

It's like people are just discovering this stuff. Before now did people not even care if they saved $10, $15 or $20 on there shopping bill?

Except in the case when a person loses there job, it almost seems like those who are most effected right now, are those who never paid attention to what they where buyting. Those who never used cupons, or savers cards, those who never would shop store brands and such. Who had the money to just blow.

Obviously though of course every situation is different.

Our economy is hurting right now and people are just realizing they need to know how to manage their money. People are so use to buying things NOW and didn't do it like our parents did, save your money until you have enough to buy it with cash, not those darn credit cards that some of us live on.

My parents live in a million dollar home, rent out 2 houses to my brothers and still cut coupons, they recycle everything, rarely throw things out but aren't pack rats.

A couple years ago, I ran into a calender where my mom wrote her budget down and how much money she spent each day. One day she had a nickel written for my brother's lunch, that was in the 60s. We're going downhill from there, aren't we?

We need to take more notice on how we spend daily, each day adds up.

In the last few years, we saw people buying big SUVs, big homes and we're paying for it now with foreclosures and these darn climbing gas/oil prices.

Each person needs to know that the little things make an overall difference.

in my purse i have 1 lipstick
tweezers, mini lotion, powder, mascara, makeup remover, brush, comb, hair tyes, small hair pins/clips,note pad, pen, sun glasses, cell phone, lighter (i dont smoke but i carry one anyways), floss, mini tooth paste/brush, eye shadow, blush, foundation, lip balm,pocket knife (mini swiss pink),nail clippers, file, small mirror, hand sanitizer, mini kleenex, watch, compass, money, cards, coin purse,tampon (just In case i need it), tynole,breath mints, candy, gum, a mini camera, small flash light, mace spray.
I this hugh black studded over sized purse so theres room for all this stuff and more cause everything to me is a must in case i get lost or loose my way home lol. i wouldn't want to go anywhere without my purse is it too much i wonder???????
i forgot my black nail polish and mps player. but really now is this all too much? Cause I Don't think it is.

I asked about my X boss and no fed tax removed?

I had asked what do i do about my boss not removing fed taxes. I was pretty upset and left out those ever so needed details, yes i filled a w-4 and married 2 , she took out the other stuff state ssi work comp and my deducts that child support wanted , but not federal, it was not even reported to unemp, not until i called them, they then checked her she said oops forgot to report , the stuff she was doing im pretty sure is illegal, she didn't even pay me the same system of payroll as she did the rest of emps. Now in some calls and some fillings i have discovered that she wasn't planning to do anything with me except gain, how i haven't figured yet, but she had to report the other stuff i guess cause if some type of" cover her butt:" didn't happen she would get alot of trouble. Now this week i received All my supposedly time cards and a work sheet from the CPA, she claimed did my time, i called them i asked whys when i asked about my time card history she was well she cant talk to me??? the CPA. Then I said well about thia submitted paper? who did my time ? she said My boss sent her those for everyone and i was one, so that's what the labor board got, how ever ,,, nothing adds except the time and money she claimed to have payed, She owes me over time she owes me days , she cut and clipped the cards she forged my cards i used to sign mine she was dumb not to put that part there, she cut days dates and then get this amount she had in the beginning she reported, I went to BOLI, its Oregon's version of labor, they told me i had no case because she had these papers when i saw them i told the man they were fraud, i called IRS they said im responsible to pay the tax on the 9,000.00 she said i made, (i made more, plus tips) now i am being put out as disabled for life from my doctor, i fell in august is the truth, i told her she had to fill a comp paper she never did, i now have to prove this, i can i went to 2 doctors, my phys. says i have neuropathy which is severe numbness in my legs feet toes. i cant work the fall damaged a ball of nerves in my low back, i cant feel ANY thing in bottom of feet this is scary i may lose them , i have been using heat to keep them warm, and its doing a little for feeling but, besides this im not able to work, she is on the chamber board which is huge in my small town of brookings or. and she pretty much holds everything i am in a pen and if she says they believe, now YES i can prove her wrong, i won my first unemp appeal because i was born with panic attacks, she knew and she created a situation at work that caused me to quit, im not an easy person to scare, but she was so abusive and even jumped at me in the office i did think she would swing, i had to quit, since my appeal win at unemp, she has appealed that now i have no money again, im due to refill meds i have to go to welfare which oh well but to keep this stuff quite is killing me i am now writing letters calling irs, unemp ect...which the Labor board should have done and they are not getting it, i CANT AFFORD to pay any tax i cant even have an apt. i had gotten evicted no money im in a R.V. i hate it i am upset cry 24/7 i lost my life i feel when i quit my job. this lady wants me and why,,,OKAY i know she was gambling in her restaurant / bar and she was paying people to do this and splitting wins, i know because she told me, asked me , and my best friend at the time who (oh u love this ) was embezzling from the chamber she was the ext, asst, u can read this in sept to she was sentenced the 6th of Feb, sept 8th she was arrested in brookings-Harbor oregon, and yes this is all true, however prove the irs, or anyone else, Is making me crazy, and i need to be able to live, im sorry they are going to have to go to prison, its not what i did it what i need to do, but if i cant get anyone to believe me, I bet you don't , i cant get anything out of it right.
God I cant believe it myself if i write it but for a year i really was where so deep in becoming a workaholic i didn't see this happening to me. a friend actually saw that i had no year to date on federal taxes, and that addition was wrong on my time card, i had been doing them for unemp, i had some notes wrote down , and i was by memory trying to figure what was owed, she said that My boss and friend were robbing me setting me up and whatever else my brain stopped at set up. i called the mayor of oregon he was to call FBI but i haven't even heard from them,
Now what do i do, yes i sound crazy i give that to u bit im not .THIS is all true and im scared to move or even talk on phone....please something even if letting me pst helps it keeps me from breaking the rest of nothing i have, im very angry and im very sore, i have this numbness which is more painful then feeling , wish it was in my head. sorry , but i have to figure what to do if i give up I will live under a bridge and actually look like a Lier if i continue im in for one heck of a year , and its been that almost

Way too long and confusing to read.

If your employer didn't take any federal withholding out of your paychecks, you will owe the IRS some money. You ought to call someone at the IRS and set up a meeting to discuss this in person.

(Oh, and there's no such thing as the "mayor of Oregon", so I'd leave that part out of your story altogether.)
