What is "doubling" coupons and some grocery $ savings tips. ?

I saw this lady today on the Oprah show that was talking about "doubling" coupons. What does this mean? Also, there are these sites that charge money to get coupons on the brands you select instead of just clipping what the paper offers. Does anyone know about these sites and are there any that are actually worth it? I LOVE to save money when shopping and want some tips and interesting ideas about this.

Good question.. these days every dollar counts and if you take a few extra minutes you can get this down to a science.
#1. Coupons can be doubled (at most stores) as long as they are under $1. so a coupon for .75cents will give you a saving of $1.50

#2. Store run their sales on a rotation for certain items .Usually the things we all need like Ketchup and soups etc.. So invest in your Sunday paper which will have all the grocery store circulars for the week. Start paying close attention to what staple items go on sale and about when. ( It's actually very easy)

A Important Keys.. You are not loyal to any one store.. But to your wallet ONLY
This doesn't mean you want to gp from store to store in the same week .. Just check out who has what you need on sale this week

Now when you start to recognize their rotations you will stock on on certain items and knowing that in 3 weeks you'll be back at this store.

Also some stores have buy 1 get 1 free sales these are great just becareful of the price. But if you get a good deal you can stockup up.

Between coupons and knowing your stores YOU can save tons.

My average saving per week was $75-125. !!!

Road Tax 2009 is to double in price?????

Just seen on the news that next year, 2009, Road Tax will increase from £215 to £430, not only have the Government ignored requests to scrap it because of increasing congestion charges, but now it seems they are spitting in the faces of all road users by doubling the cost.
All this on top of the rises in Fuel will cripple most road users in the country who already have to deal with increases in:
Gas
Electricity
Water
Food
Council Tax
Income Tax
National Insurance
Car Insurance
Interest Rates

Something has got to give soon, as average wages are far too low to cope with all these increases, and as usual the poor get poorer.
It sickens me to read about MP's getting all their expenses paid for everything from paper clips to second Homes on TAX PAYERS MONEY.
I say SACK THEM ALL, after all we pay their wages.
Minty, it may well lead to that before long, we need to make a stand.
Nicola is correct, Britain is a Rip Off to its own people.

Does anyone but me find this funny and sad. I dont see why their campaign is jealous that Obama had the money to buy 30 minutes on prime time TV. Mc Cain/Palin have been on SNL for the past 2 months for free. Its funny and sad at the same time because its humiliating. Its so true. They are making jokes of themselves. But SNL would have dont it anyway so I guess McCain wanted to be part of the joke. They are jokes just like SNL makes them appear to be.

I'm thinking about selling him. I'm going into college and I won't have the time or the money to really give him the attention he deserves.

He's a black (in the picture, he looks like a bay because he's been bleached by the sun) QH/Hano cross. He's 16.1, with one white boot, a star, and a snip.

He rides both western and english.

He jumps to 4'6.

He loads, stands for clipping, doubles, and is nearly bombproof.

In a good economy, (say, next year, because that's when I'll be going), how much would you pay for him? DO you see any glaring faults in his conformation? Thanks!
He's won 7 blue ribbons, 13 red, and 18 yellow, in jumping. He's jumped up to 4'6 in shows.

i dont like his back at all, he has a very flat, mule looking back but idk maybe jumping people like that, i dont ride english so i dont really know about what kinda horses yall like
but everything else looks good

i would say $5,000+ depending on his age

Need Window Hardware Help? Clips Broken?

Moved into townhome condo 8 months ago in Pennsylvania, After moving in I noticed clips that keep the contractor grade double hung windows' top and bottom sash tight with the frame on most windows are broken thus letting my warm air/cold air(summer) and money fly out the window throughout the hot and cold months. I called my condo association and they do not cover windows. Since the development is only 8 years old i thought they may still be covered under the window companies warranty. I asked the condo association and they told me they would under the manufacturer BUT they went bankrupt. Am i screwed litterally into buying new windows or can buy add on hardware and replace the window clips myself? I temporallerly have foam between the sashes to try and keep the drafts to a minumum.
Any suggestions..

Can you install a window sash lock ? Where the windows meet in the middle. I am not sure what you mean by CLIPS ? You can email me with more info if want.
