I don't know if what I want isn't out there or if I'm not searching right, but I'm about to give up. I am looking for a nice looking wooden box to sit on my desk to hold a magnifying glass and letter opener, size 12Lx5Wx4H. There are lots of boxes, but not that size (all too short). The custom ones cost an arm and a leg (want to spend <$100.) Some of the searches I have tried are: wooden boxes, handmade wooden boxes, custom wooden boxes, long wooden boxes, desk accessories, made to order wooden boxes, wooden boxes for long flat item, "storage box" and "magnifying glass", magnifying glass boxes, 12" long wooden boxes, 12 inch long wooden boxes.....and many more. I'm going nuts. I know this can't be that difficult an item to find, but I'm not very good at searches. Can anyone please help me?
Thanks so much,
Aunt Maggie
PS - I also tried ebay, pier one, and amazon.
How about searching for cigar boxes?
Try Ebay at www.ebay.com. They are usually listed in category: Collectibles > Tobacciana > Cigar > Boxes

Swisscard Lite from Victorinox
When I first started caching I carried everything but the cookhouse sink with me in my geocaching bag. I was afraid that there would be some item that I needed and didn’t have. As I have gained a bit more sample I can now pack a caching bag more effectively. And now, with little items like the “Swisscard Lite from Victorinox”, I often stockpile without one.
This little tool fits nicely into your shirt appropriate or into your GPS case clipped to your belt. I don’t recommend putting it in the back sack of your jeans unless you are sure, you won’t be finding that you have “unexpectedly” sat down.
It is lightweight soft and will crack, if not break, under shall we say… “captivity”.
This handy little gadget includes:
Letter opener (bayonet) Scissors Straight pin Pressurized ball pointless pen Tweezers Magnifying glass Screwdriver 3mm Screwdriver 5mm Phillips screwdriver #00-0 Phillips screwdriver #1-2 LED mini window - Ruler (cm)If you have ever been sitting at home in your pj’s and received a reader from geocaching.com that a new cache was just published not more that two miles from you bagnio and that FTF bug bites, you can imagine how handy this little gadget is. Sitting honourableness there in you GPSr case are all the basics you need to sign that “nano” (Caches published abutting me are inevitably nanos. Especially if it is after dark.) and get that FTF! Now I do have to tell you that the LED isn’t all that spirited. So if the area your going to is not well lit you should still bring a flashlight, but it is bright enough to announce the log by. The tweezers are perfect for getting the log from the nano without damage or frustration. They also exertion well on slivers obtained during the search and here is where the straight pin can come in actually handy! The only time I have ever used the screwdrivers was to tighten up my glasses and for that they worked impartial fine. Speaking of glasses… Having a magnifying glass adept when I run into a cache with a lot of geocoins is very useful. Some of those numbers are pretty darn elfin.
