decent
These do all right for what I want them to. Yes, I have used better, but they are all right. I do not use them for business purposes, so I am less concerned about durability and more concerned about just having a place to put the things I print without unceremoniously dumping the items in a two pocket folder. I do end up printing stuff that is 35+ pages, and can use this for multiple printings.

Standard item
Excellent binder and I got it very fast. I live at a post so some products are hard to find including office stuff. This was exactly as described/pictured and this seller was excellent.

Ok Binders- Cheap But With Flaws
So this product has some good perks- a clear plastic window wrap and ample 2" rings for a really good price- about half of what you'd pay for at a Staples (assuming there's no sales going on)
But there are a few downsides to the low cost.
The cover is made of a more easily dented cardboard and of the five I ordered, two arrived folded- and when it gets folded, it doesn't retain it's shape- it actually flops which defeats the whole purpose of a binder and renders it useless.
The other thing is the ring gets in the way, so if you print double-sided and want to write on the other side these giant rings are completely round and will impede your hand. Higher end binders use the kind of quasi-square loop which is much easier to get by.
Last bit is because it uses the completely round ring- the pages don't rest properly on one side like they would in a more expensive binder, they stay kind of flopped in the middle making them prone to rip.
I nitpick though, but I use binders a lot and these things matter to some. Still for the price I think it was still worth it- and Amazon's great customer care came through and they replaced my two binders at a lightning speed.

I would have preferred a D-ring
Basically, it's a decent binder. The ring mechanism works well (for what it is), it's reasonably sturdy (but see below), and it looks good in the dark blue.
Issues I have with it:
First, keep in mind that this is a circular ring binder, and the rings are on the spine. For my purposes, a D-ring binder with the ring on the back cover would have been better. If it's even 2/3 full, the papers in the back get curled up toward the spine when you close it unless you adjust them with your fingers as you do so, and you are forced to change their position every time you open or close the binder. This is something I should have considered before buying it, and I will be more conscious of this next time.
Second, although it makes no such claim, I can say that this binder is definitely not heavy duty. Through what I would consider moderate use (backpack) over a couple months, it has developed a tear at the point where the front cover connects. It extends all the way from top to bottom and allows me to completely remove the cardboard from the front cover. In practice, this isn't a problem, and it seems to be holding together fine otherwise.
I'd still recommend it.

Wilson Jones 3 Ring Binder Blue
What we really liked about this binder was the price. We bought them from Amazon during the Back to School sale and paid less than $2 a binder. With two kids in school and each subject requiring its own 2 inch binder, Wilson Jones helps us out with a great price! The binder is sturdy-so far it is holding up to being jammed into the overloaded backpack time after time. The rings are tight so no lost papers and the inside pockets are very handy-our kids put their completed homework in there to turn in. Overall, a great deal!

rip off!!!
What a piece of garbage! I used this for online college, and it is falling apart, after only 3 months of use. It never even left the house! I can just imagine if I bought it for one of the kids! Oh, I miss those denim binders!

Didn't hold up
Bought 2 of these binders for a middle school child and the cover split from the binding within a month. Don't waste your money on these.

not a true "view" binder
Please do not let the title fool you...these are not "view binders". A view binder means that there is a clear sleeve on the front cover that you can place a coversheet in. These state that they are view binders, but they are just plain binders - not exactly handy for presentations, etc...

Where can I get a single customised ring binder made in the UK?
Feb 05, 2008 by sugarlump4u | Posted in Small Business
I need to get a A4 ring binder custom made with my company logo for a project next week and all the online shops I see are looking for bulk orders? Can somebody recomend a good site or company for this?
I should add that the binder should be leather with gold emboss but I'm open to any other suggestions
well you've obviously found some suppliers of the product you want, and as you say they want bulk orders.
however they are also keen to make sales, why not tell them you are interested and ask for a sample with your logo etc and offer to pay a small artwork charge for them putting your info on to it.
i have had many free promotional gifts (pens, keyrings etc) when i've made an enquiry about their products for my business.
and remember - if you don't ask you won't get!

Can you not use one of those generic ones where you can slip your logo inside a plastic sheet on the front?

I'd call them and ask if they'd do it. Your company should know that getting a single thing of whatever will cost loads, so i am sure if you pay more you will get what you want. Or suggest your boss to get 50 folders and give it out to clients.

how do you get whiteboard marker off a 3 ring binder front HELP!!?
Aug 18, 2008 by pixiedust2391 | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
i accidentally got whiteboard marker on the front of a 3 ring binder. it has the shiny stuff in front and i tried rubbing it off with water and i would come off please help me!
i meant wouldnt come off not would
Rubbing alcohol. Most markers (even sharpies) are alcohol based ink. Rubbing alcohol will take it off, just get a paper towel damp with alcohol, and gently rub until the marks are gone.

What do we call the paper that fits in the front cover of an A4 ring binder? And the side/edge?
Jan 20, 2008 by Moi | Posted in Other - Education
Is there a website to download templates for A4 3 ring binder? For the front cover, spine, and back cover. The binder has like a plastic file on it on front to enter the papers/cardboard.
cover sheet and tab finders

How do you add extra pages to a scrap book (it isn't a ring binder scrapbook)?
Oct 25, 2008 by sam l | Posted in Hobbies & Crafts
I'm new to scrapbooking and I was wondering to add extra pages to a scrapbook that isn't a ring binder.
If you mean a scrapbook like the K and Co ones there's two little screws that are in the folds of the spines if you undo these you can add more pages.

What is the centerfold of a 3 ring binder made out of.?
Nov 20, 2008 by Danny R | Posted in Chemistry
For a class I'm taking we are experimenting with x-rays.
We used a microchip processor that showed up on the x ray image. Next we placed a 3 ring binder on top of the microchip.
The results were that the centerfold of the binder completely blocked the x rays and we couldn't see microchip, but just the small center part not the big covers.
So does anyone know what elements from the periodic table are used for that center part?
The center piece of a binder, which is what holds the rings, is made of steel -- which is mostly iron. One would expect iron to block x-rays fairly well.
