im a high school trumpet player and was wondering if i could get some advice on re-organizing my music binder. any info is much appreciated!
I keep mine sorted by the type of music that way when I get ready to practice I can go right to what i need. I also keep a section in the front for the things that I play everyday. For example, I have my book sorted by long tones, then lip slurs, then scales, followed by technical exercises and etudes, then finally copies of any solos I am working on. In the back I slide things for ensembles and such.
This method has worked for me for more than 25 years. Hope this helps.
the Mead's Five Star school binder with integrated speaker..would it work with a zen?...and..is it worth getting one?
Yes you can use a Zen. The plug would be just like headphones. I don't think it's worth getting one.
I was wondering if it's ok to have my music in front of me in a binder. I photocopied the pieces from my books and put them in a binder. Is that ok?
Yeah of course it's ok to use a binder. Remember most of the people listening will secretly wish they could play the piano!
One other bit of advice though, maybe don't use those plaastic inserts as if the light is in the wrong place you can't see anything you just get glare from the music. Also, don't worry about putting the music stand flat, it makes things very hard to read, and the main thing is to be comfortable.
have a good gig!
I just got it, and URGH! I cant think of what to put on it. My hobbies? Drawing, photography, music, etc. Basically, anything but Miley Cyrus. Sorry to Miley Cyrus fans, no offense. If you can, give me the exact link to a site where you can create your own binder templates! Thanks!
what i did, is i put pictures of my favorite bands onto my notebook...then like random words like
'Like LOLZ'
'OHMYGEE NO FREAKIN WAYYY'
'Chh im smartterrrr than UUU'
stuff like that.
your typical teenage stuffs
good luck
;)
can you please help me find idead of pics to put on the back of my binder that have to do with bands and other stuff (and please don't say myself) like different random but funny pics like stuff that will look awesome! i like all kinds of music and i like crazy and colorful patterns! if you have any ideas please tell me! thanks!
well i just go through magazines and clip out stuff but what you could do is look at like icons and stuff on photobucket (just browse through) and when you see something you like print it out and then when you have a bunch just make a collage

LOL, I always do. I do my own element, I don't worry about what others think...I'm just me, love me or hate me! But I'd like to meditate on that most people end up liking me...I might be bit delusional, LOL!
I'm reallly enjoying my values bright and early off of school...

But if some things have changed, others haven’t. Uncertain sopranos still panegyric Providence from the habitual choir: “If you don’t penetrate/ And you don’t see His plan/ When you can’t spot His hand/ Group His heart.” And after a brace of standard adoration jams, the youngsters in the stripe launch into “Before the Throne of God Above,” ringing out the chorus in haunting old-then Baptist unity: “My name is graven on His hands/ My name is written on His core...” It’s the first era in a long days that I’ve had chills in church.
For first-rhythm guests, there are cold black coffee mugs manner the church’s logo and unencumbered Bibles for those who don’t have them. “We be you to know that we’re a Bible-believing church,” explains Coast. “That’s our contraption and our foundation, and if you don’t have one, we’d like to give you one. We yearning you to know that this current in, this family, this church is extensive to you — to all of you. Optimistically, this is a place you’ll have compassion for incline at home. You are loved...our hearts are blatant to you and it’s because of the love of Jesus Christ.”

First of all, credit you for joining our blog. We hope that is serves you well.
To recovered serve our students, we are choosing this year to rely less on well-known lesson “method” books for our piano and guitar students. In lieu of, we will be using a greater variety of individual pieces of page music hand-picked for your students needs. This also can lend a hand us reduce the “I left one of my books at home” or “Did I have homework in that ticket?” syndrome which can happen when students use a variety of books and materials.
To improve facilitate this learning, each of our students needs to have their own music binder to hold their music. It will have a genre of sections so finding all homework assignments should be easy, as they should all be in the same proper.
We need each student to bring in a 3 ring binder with them to their next lesson! That way we can establish to implement our new system and clean up some of our students overflowing folders. Please decide on binders 1 inch or larger, and I recommend a view binder with a disburdened cover you can put a paper insert in. Why? I’ll unfold.
To better personalize our binders, we are having a binder cover sketch contest. We want one of our students to design a endearing picture that they feel represents the fun of learning to play an thingummy here. The only rules are that it needs to fit on an 8.5 by 11 inch ditty of paper and be able to be copied in black and white. Entries demand to be brought in by Feb 7th and we will take votes for the winner until Feb 14th. Then we will make enough covers for each of our students to outsert in their new binders. Please encourage your student to show their creativity and participate.
(By the way, now is also a glaring time to mention we have new children’s art classes starting in February for the artistically liable—make sure to pick up a flyer)
