My 5th Grader Loves It!
My granddaughters' school desks accommodate binders no larger than 1", so our choices were limited. One of the girls chose this one because it was different from any we'd had before. The other chose a more expensive, decorative, standard-style 3-ring binder. The Avery Flip-Back binder was much the better choice. I often see my granddaughter on her back, knees up, writing with the back flipped to form a comfortable work surface against her thighs. The other granddaughter is unable to balance her binder on anything short of a flat work surface. Even with a flat surface, the Flip-Back is far superior because it takes up half the space. I doubt this binder lasts longer than the run-of-the-mill styles, but it is certainly more convenient in the meantime. We won't return to the standard 3-ring style.

AMENDMENT: 6 months down the line, the more expensive, decorative binder has bit the dust while the Avery Flip-Back binder remains in perfect condition. Now both girls have Flip-Back binders. You cannot go wrong with this one!

Flimsy with sharp spiral binding edges
The metal spine is not attached to the book. I guess that's so it can "flip back". But the edges are sharp, and it is broken looking due to clumsy design. The top split open practically the second I touched it, revealing the cardboard inside. Not well made. Would not buy again.

Excellent idea!
This folder flips all the way back to become a sturdy writing board.

For people who like to curl into all sorts of positions and want to take notes at the same time, it is an excellent idea.

I bought it for my son in middle school and I can already see he'll get a lot of good use out of it.

Aside from the flip back front, it's a classic 3 ring binder.

I have two notebooks and one composition book I need to fit in one binder. I can't put the notebooks in using the 3 ring holes cause they were punched in too deep and i can't flip the pages in my binder when they're in. The composition book doesn't have holes punched in it. Where do I put them in the binder without having them fall out if I'm changing books at my locker?

take all of the pages out of the notebooks and use them as loose-leaf pages that u seperate by a divider. as far as the comp book, i would just set it inside the binder or if its thin enough put it in one of the pockets at the from or back of the binder. You may also try to get a 3 or 5 inch binder instead of a 1 inch that way you can fit more in there.

I've checked online stores, but none of them actually show the inside of it so I'm unaware of which one fits my needs.

Your nearest coin dealer should have them. For best price go to www.brooklyngallery.com. 2 X 2's are $2.25 a hundred and pages are 10 for $5.55. On orders under $35 they request a check or money order. They have about the best prices around and give great service, at least I have never had any problems.

Creating a similar binder for your national can put important info about your house at your fingertips and can make it easier for guests, babysitters, and others who may not be insolent with your home to feel comfortable.

Here are some ideas on info to register in your binder and how to put it together.

What to Include
Your household management binder can be as simple or as involved as you'd like. If you oftentimes have guests, you may want to create two binders: one for you and your family, and one for your visitors.

Here's some utilitarian information to include in your main household binder:
Checklists for things like deeply maintenance tasks to do each season, grocery shopping lists, and touring prep checklistsUser guides and manuals for appliances and electronics you use many a time; if your manuals are too bulky to store all together in a binder, you might want to keep them elsewhere and stash only the Fleet Start or Basic guides in the binderSchedules for various kith and kin members, including things like after school venture schedules for your kids and work travel schedules for you and/or your spouse or partnerContact low-down for immediate family members, emergency contacts, and shut up friends and neighbors
If a nanny or sitter will be using the binder, you might also poverty to include info on things like food allergies, common schedules (dinnertime, bedtime, etc.), and guidelines for pit oneself against dates.
