So Far So Good
Purchased two. Great bargain. Arrived promptly. Fits securely on belt loop with little fuss. Seems very sturdy and has nice, sure grip on the badge.

Good Quality Clip
I had gotten a similar item for free. Being free, of course it wasn't the highest quality. I thought the idea of it was unnecessary, but I found it quite useful. I was able to keep track of my keys, and was able to use them without removing them. Mine soon broke, and I found myself in dire need of a new one.
This product is great, and very damage resistant. It has withstood being dropped, thrown, and whatever else you could imagine. For the price, it is a very high quality product.

Great for Work!
I use this for my badge at work. It is very strong and secure and I can actually attach a pen to the plastic snap closure. I would recommend this product to anyone who must wear a name badge. For the price, you are buying an excellent product.

Good product for the price
Overall I.m very happy. The only thing I would warn against is that the "retension" on the clip is pretty low. In that I mean you cannot have to much weight on it or it cannot retract. On my unit I keep one key, a card, and a wireless unit "like a car remote" and it has a hard time with that.

low profile, nice clip
My only objection is that the reel is not tight enough to "hold up" a heavier key such as a car smart key. I wanted something I could use to clip my smart key to my purse strap (since I don't need to put it in the ignition). Unfortunately the weight of the smart key causes the reel to un-reel a few inches. If there was some type of locking button it would be perfect. Otherwise it has a nice, well-built feeling.

Why I like this keyring.
The reason I bought this keyring is to keep my work keys separate from my house/car keys. I work in a nursing home in building services/housekeeping dept., and my work keys are heavier than my house/car keys. The key ring keeps them close without losing them.

Great badge holder
Fast secure clip on to a belt loop, smooth movement, little rubber bumper to prevent a snap when letting go, and the black satin finish looks very sharp with a suit or sport coat (more formal business attire). I always hated how the cheap ones bring down a suit or slack/sport coat combo.

Great design, good quality, just what I was looking for.
I,ve had serveral cheap 'reel type" badge holders over the years that had the belt clip style of clip. The Carabiner clip is easier to use more versatile. I carry an ID badge and a card reader door/gate pass and I need to unclip it from my belt several times daily. When I drive upto a driveway gate card reader,I just unhook the biner, reach out the car window and swipe the card, and reclip it back on.The quality seems better than most. The black and chrome looks good too. I wish I would have found this item sooner. I will buy it again when it wears out. I have used it for only 1 month and so far so good.

Serves It's Purpose
This retractable reel serves its purpose, I'm taking it with me to a music tour to Argentina. I plan to attach it to the belt loop on my shorts, and the other end to the wrist strap on the camera itself. I purchased this to protect my new camera from any pickpocketers. Be Aware: THIS IS A THIN CORD!!! It is a thin nylon cord, only about the width of a line you would draw with your average ballpoint pen. Don't get me wrong, the cord itself is strong, but I'm afraid that some pickpocketer will come up and take the camera, and, as he's running, will yank on the cord, snapping it where it connects to the reel. Although this gives me a larger feeling of security, I wouldn't unravel it as far as it can go.

Zippity key dah
I'm a principal at a school and my students keep breaking my key chains by swinging the key around. So far this one has lasted about a month! Nice colors also.

Good value, cord needs improvements though
I started purchasing these as I buzz into a lot of doors at my work on a day to day basis and I can only use either this type of product or a normal neck lanyard that is never long enough when I need to buzz in while holding computer equipment(I work in IT).
I broke the one my company gave me after a few months, just frayed and snapped the cord. This seemed like the best value as opposed to $3-6 dollar single units also sold on Amazon.
I am now on the 4th one from the first order of these that I played back on June 28th, 2008. So as you can see, they're not too bad in terms of quality.
Plastic housing and belt clip are fine, no issues with them.
The ID badge snap loop is fine too, I do not have the quality issues reported by another reviewer.
My only issue is the reason all 4 of my past retractors have failed, the cord. It's long enough, but it frays and breaks a bit too easily in my opinion. It's essentially fishing line wrapped in some sort of string sheath. What inevitably happens is the sheath frays at the end and eventually breaks. It's under tension and then shoots back into the housing. This does not completely mess up the functionality but it makes it harder to extend the cord for the first foot or so until the sheath finally pops back out.
Overall, it's a fine product if you don't trust paying similar amounts for single retractors.

Not great....
The snap fastener for the badge was always coming unsnapped and didn't really have the holding power necessary to keep the badge attached. My badge was always falling off and getting lost. I eventually had to stop using the product.

These will work
Great price, you get 4 for what others are asking for 2. About the only drawback is they are clip on with a spring clip rather than a slide-on stype clip, so they're a little bulkier when worn on a belt loop or belt, but are fine clipped to a shirt pocket. Very fast shipping...got what a I needed quickly for a very good price...so overall a definite recommend.
